Description

Propolis is a natural substance produced by bees from plant resins they collect from tree buds and bark. The bees mix these resins with wax, pollen, and their own enzymes, creating a paste they use to protect and disinfect the hive, sealing cracks and coating internal surfaces.
This material has been traditionally used in different cultures as an ingredient in food, beekeeping, and cosmetics.

Propolis contains a wide variety of compounds, primarily flavonoids, phenolic acids, essential oils , and other natural nutrients. Its composition can vary depending on the botanical origin of the resins and the geographical area.
